The Bible shares this thought, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." - Isa. 49:15-16 KJV. While an earthly mother may forget their child, God will never forget His children.
Motherhood is true heroism. Notice this thought from Lance Conrad when he said, "I can imagine no heroism greater than motherhood." Quite simply, you are reading this Telegram because you were born into this world from your mother! Without mothers, there would be no life on earth! I suppose with the newest scientific experiments, life can be generated from a test-tube, however, originally God intended life to come from the Mother.
That's why in Scripture you have many references of the care of mothers and the care of God. The comparison is unique. Motherhood is also heroism because of all that is done for the family through her life. Notice this thought from Donna Ball, "Motherhood is a choice you make every day, to put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you're not sure what the right thing is . . . and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong."
From your church, we wish all mothers a Happy Mother's Day! May this Sabbath day be a special high Sabbath for you and your loved ones. Your lives as mothers are highly valued in this church and by our society as a whole. You may not feel like it is valued, but you can rest assured that it is. Thank you for the woman that you have chosen to become for the good of your families.
I'll leave you with this final motherhood thought which comes from Howard W Hunter, "Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind."
So, until the nest time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
