Uncertainty is hard. Like when you've taken your written exam for your license and you wait to see if you passed. Or when you've asked someone for a dinner date, and you have no idea how they will respond!
Uncertainty is hard. What makes it hard is really not knowing the outcome of whatever you are experiencing. But what if you could know the outcome of the most important reality in human existence? The reality of being saved by God! While this world is filled with uncertainties, there is a surety in Scripture whereby when received by the penitent heart, the gift is as sure as is your life!
When God so loved our world and gave His Son, when we have believed in that sacrifice on our behalf, we can rest assured that the uncertainty of not being saved by God is . . . GONE!
This Sabbath, we are addressing an issue I have seen way too often in the Seventh-day Adventist Church . . . a lack of certainty of our state with God. The Bible is clear. God has been clear. However, man has muddled up what God has made simple.
May you this Sabbath see how simple it is. May you this Sabbath realize that salvation is a reality now and a journey! May you realize that God desires nothing more than for you to fully understand this Biblical truth!
So, until the next time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives.
