"How do you believe in God when it seems that He is not there?” That’s what I heard from a dear friend that was going through a difficult time in their life. Several years ago I came across a thought I’d like to share with you. “When you are going through something hard and wonder where God is, remember the teacher is always quiet during a test.”

Is God’s quietness during a test a sign of His indifference toward our pain? No. A thousand times no. His quietness is a matter of trust. The Bible says, "No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13, Message Bible.

In the King James, the version expresses it this way, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Cor. 10:13, KJV. Both passages express a reality for the Christian mind...God is faithful. In the original Greek the thought is, πιστὸς δὲ ὁ θεός. Pistos (πιστὸς) has many meanings in the Greek.

One that stands out to me is the word...Trustworthy! In other words, as it was expressed by the Message Bible, God will NEVER LET YOU DOWN! As expressed in the King James, God is faithful. He is truly trustworthy. He is trustworthy to you and as a result you can trust Him with your life...even if right now it seems out of control!

Would you still believe in God...if He doesn’t answer your prayers? That is what we will be discussing today. There is nothing more frustrating than delay. However, a delay is nothing more than an opportunity for God to show up...and when He does...you will know you can trust Him! Happy Sabbath and I pray that your spiritual life will be enhance by you being here today!

So, until the next time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
