"What can make me white as snow . . . nothing but the blood of Jesus! Such a powerful song. Words, that as we sing that song we are transformed by its meaning. The blood of the Master Jesus is very, very powerful. And there is something else Jesus said that is very powerful. Listen, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:16 KJV
The history of baptism is interesting. However, the outcome of baptism is incredible! The importance of baptism does not come from the church, but rather from God Himself. It is a means in which a follower of Christ can know . . . well . . . let me say it this way, "baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality." For those that attended the baptism of Sophia and Nora last Sabbath at Langdon Lake, you were witnesses of the outward expression of the inward reality of those girls loving the Master.
What is it about baptism that makes it so special? Why is baptism celebrated in the Adventist church? By the grace of God, we will answer these questions and more. The incredible blessing that God allows us to experience in baptism is something that has no comparison. Life is given, power is given, strength is given to live the life God has designed for you.
With the utility bills getting out of control for many consumers, can you imagine if everyone had access to "unlimited" power! And to make things even better, that power is FREE! God grants that baptized believer with a power that creates life from death! A change that can only be explained by the power of God. And all that power . . . is . . . FREE! God invited every single person to accept that power, that gift. Why not accept it today?
So, until the next time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
