Can you believe it? It's the last Sabbath of the month of October! After today, there are nine Sabbaths left in the year 2024! Have you been able to accomplish all that you've desired this year? Have you and your family been able to do those things that you've talked about doing? Have you been able to accomplish your professional goals in life? For most of us, we all started this year with goals in mind, resolutions to accomplish . . . but they changed.
As the year progressed, many changed their resolutions drastically. New goals replaced the old ones and life continued marching on. If there is something I've learned this year, it is this . . . life is short, and you must live each day to the fullest! We have had many deaths amongst us as a congregation. As time progresses forward, everyone is faced with the reality of the shortness of life. Reality sets in when you get a glimpse of a picture from years ago. You stare at that photograph only to realize that time has passed by so fast that you are left with a feeling . . . a strange reality . . . you're older.
Babies are kids now. Kids are young adults now. Young adults are creating families. Families are growing. And those in the family are aging. While there is nothing we can do to reverse the reality of time flying by, we can . . . right now . . . do something to enjoy our lives to the fullest! What can you do this Sabbath day to live your life to the fullest? Who do you need to talk to that would make your day the best day this month?
May you, in this Sabbath day, realize that you have nine Sabbaths left in 2024. You still have time to accomplish your set goals for this year. May you lives your best life and impact the people that surround you. May you sense the presence of God in your life! Go and enjoy your day with the people you love and that love you! Happy Sabbath!
So, until the next time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives.
